The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Friday, January 23 reveals Ian Ward (Ray Wise) will make sure Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) sticks to her plan.
Also coming up, Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) and Devon Winters (Bryton James) will spend quality time with their son. Plus, Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) and Holden Novak (Nathan Owens) will run into Amy Lewis (Valarie Pettiford). And Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will make an admission to Audra.
Y&R spoilers tease Audra will get the cold shoulder, when she runs into Amy. She’ll ask if everything is okay. “Nothing to worry about,” Amy will reply and move to leave. But Audra will say she knows she messed up with Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) and her. “Is there any way you could forgive me?”
Y&R Daily Scoop – Sally Tells Audra She Will Get In Touch With Jill
Audra will try to explain that she did what she did for independence. Amy will say she did it in the most shameful way possible. “You lied to the people who care about you,” she’ll add. But she’ll also admit she misses her. Audra will say she’d give anything to get Nate to forgive her.
Then Holden will show up and ask the ladies if they’re friends again. They’ll chat briefly and he’ll tell Amy he misses Damian Kane (Jermaine Rivers) and he’s glad to see her doing so well. As he walks over to the counter, Amy will grill Audra. “What is your connection to that man?” she’ll ask.
Audra will say they knew each other in Los Angeles. She’ll add it was just casual, he was a bartender and they’d see each other in passing. “You’re lying!” Amy will reply. “If you want forgiveness, earn it. Until then, this is what you got.” And she’ll storm off.
Holden will ask Audra if Amy’s still angry with her about Nate. She’ll be annoyed that he brought it up. They’ll bicker and Sally will show up. After Holden departs, Sally will tell her friend that Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) is about to let her down again.
“For the last time, as far as I’m concerned,” she’ll add. Audra will ask what he’s done. “Cane offered him Chancellor,” Sally will respond. She’ll say she plans to call Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) and put a team together that includes Audra.
At Society, Abby will ask Devon how Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) is feeling about what Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) has done. He’ll say she’s furious with her ex-husband. “At least Lily has the answer to her question, that he can’t be trusted.”
Young And The Restless Scoop – Nate Expresses Sympathy For Victor
Nate will arrive as Abby heads out and he’ll tell Devon their company is protected from Cane. “This is where we are, a computer program is getting the best of Victor Newman,” Nate will say. “It never should have gotten this far.” Devon will be surprised he has any sympathy for The Mustache. “Nothing’s going on with you and Victoria?” Nate will say they’re friends. “Victoria’s not ready, not yet.”
As for Abby, she’ll head to Chancellor Park Cafe for some hot chocolate with Dominic Winters (Ethan Ray Clark). She’ll tell him that even though he didn’t grow in her belly, she loves him and thinks he’s the coolest kid ever. Shortly after, Devon will arrive. They’ll play in the snow and talk about getting a pastry called fresh Kringle. Abby will say it’s part of his Wisconsin heritage.
Meanwhile, Mariah will sit in a Genoa City motel room, doodling Dominic’s name. She’ll realize she missed Christmas with her wife, daughter and mother. “I don’t deserve love or another chance,” she’ll think. “I’m a terrible person who destroys everything she touches.”
Mariah will also realize that if she did go back to her wife and daughter, she’d have to explain everything. “The person who would be with them wouldn’t even be me,” she’ll say to herself. “How do I fix any of this?” She’ll look down at her phone and call Abby, saying it’s for the best. Abby will answer, even when she sees it’s an unknown number. But Mariah will hang up.
Then Ian Ward (Ray Wise) will appear. “Why the hell did you do that?” he’ll ask. Ian will tell her she’s stalling. “Mariah, are you afraid?” But she’ll say she doesn’t think she wants to do it anymore, not yet. “The time is now,” he’ll reply. “I am here to make sure you stay with the plan.”
Finally, Mariah will go out for a few minutes and return. She’ll grab her phone and look at photos she just snapped of Dom, Devon and Abby. “You made that family possible,” Ian will tell her. Then she’ll flash back to when she gave birth to Dom, with Abby and Devon by her side. Mariah will tell Ian she’s not going through with it. But he’ll say she can’t back out of this now, not when she’s so close.
